    Stargate sg-1

Mythology on TV is wide spread, and the show that made a decade of using mythology for their existence was Stargate SG-1. They used the pyramids, all kinds of gods, Arthur and his Round Table, and even Atlantis, fitting them all into the SG-1 universe. Ever watch it?

Aurora borealis - souls of ancestors

Here's the thing. Science is good for science lovers and believers. Let them prove or disprove to their content whatever they want. A spiritual belief or feeling is from deep inside and science just isn't a part of that.

    The Mythical Dragon

They made a movie out that -- George and the Dragon -- that was filmed on location. Michael Duncan Clarke and Patrick Swayze were in it. Patrick was the villain of the piece.

    Travel plans?

India is a tough place to visit, but it does make a person appreciate all the gifts that they have in their lives. I haven't been to Ireland, but sure would love to go. I just love the heritage and color of the land.

    Spontaneous human combustion

I've seen shows on human combustion several times and totally believe it's possible. Of course the very thought of it just scares me to death (is that a pun?). It's real, I think.

    The role of animals

Actually, no I do not have a favorite individual story and that is mainly because I just really enjoy what they all have to offer. It is a fascinating part of Indian lore.

    Stonhenge

If I ever get to that part of the world, this is a must see for me. I would do whatever it took to take in this site. It is just too fascinating to be that close and not go see.

    Irish folk music

I also enjoy Irish music, especially folk. It does seem to have its own aura and story about it, but then I think that is true of most cultural music.

    Powwow

No, I have never been to a pow wow, but I have read about them. I actually researched them a bit for a paper I was doing at one point. It would be interesting to attend one of them.

    The role of animals

I have always been amazed at the way animals are held in Native American mythology. They really help to guide and lead. I actually love this part of their beliefs. How about you?

    Aphrodite is in the news

I wouldn't want it on my passport so I can understand why some people might not be happy. I wouldn't say that I'd be offended, but it's just not what I want to look at.

New year's eve traditions and mythology

I also do not do resolutions as they just get tossed out anyway. I do believe in one thing, which I may or may not do, and that is simply that what you do the first day of the year can set the tone for the rest of the year. It's the first day of making something a good habit.

    Are you a writer?

Are you a writer? Do you write your own creative mythology? I always thought of myself as a journalistic author but I've slowly delved into more creative things, but I'm not real good at creating mythos. How about you?

    The most popular?

I am one who believes there is nothing mythological about God or Jesus. I certainly won't argue because that's pointless. For me, they are very real. I'd rather discuss the myth of Santa Claus. Then again, I believe in Santa Claus, too, though in a very different way.

    Televison Shows

Right now there isn't one single TV show that I am totally hooked on. I do like the new Hawaii 5-0, Hellcats, and a few others, but there's really nothing that I am completely devoted to.

Bad habits that are difficult to break

I have too many to count. It's just the way of life I am used to living these days. My schedule changes a lot which also alters and affects my habits, bad or not.

    Celtic poems

I do enjoy reading Celtic poems but I can not say that I actually have a personal favorite. I pretty much enjoy them all. They have a unique character and aura about them that intrigue me a great deal.

    Why does mythology fascinate you?

That's a good question, and I'm not sure I have a logical answer for the query. I love the mystery and the history involved in mythology. I like the way it explains things, too. There's just something magical with it.

    Space heaters

That's why I have a small one, not a big one. This one sits right on my disk. It's right here on my left. It doesn't generate enough heat to do a room, just the space right where I am. That's exactly why I bought it. I'd never put it on the floor. I wouldn't trust it.

    Space heaters

Do any of you use space heaters to try to cut down on the utility bills in the winter? To be honest, they make me very nervous, but I just bought a very small table top one. It doesn't heat the room, but it keeps my space toasty.
