Aurora borealis - souls of ancestors

From movies and cartoons where there is a Native American story, the northern lights are considered to be the souls of their ancestors. Now that science have proven that they are UV lights passing through the atmosphere, how do the people who believe on the myth took it? Are there anymore Native Americans that believe the Aurora Borealis as the souls of their ancestors?

Here's the thing. Science is good for science lovers and believers. Let them prove or disprove to their content whatever they want. A spiritual belief or feeling is from deep inside and science just isn't a part of that.

Goldie is right science and spirituality don't always mesh. If you believe something to be true and you know it in your heart, it doesn't matter what science says.

A physical manifestation of any type of spirit may be seen, felt or heard in things that have natural explanations. I know what Goldie and Goddess2u are talking about. I've seen mist that have formed that could very well be explained by atmospheric conditions but have behaved strangely. Was it a spirit? Depends upon your point of view.
