Irish folk music

I like listening to all types of music, but lately I have been listening to a lot of Irish folk music like they used in The Lord of The Dance. I am not sure why, but for some reason it seems to tell a story to me.

You might enjoy some of the recordings made by The Chieftains. Some of the music featuring the uillean pipes (Irish bagpipes) give me goosebumps. Beautiful beyond words. I used to play the Irish tin whistle until the arthritis in my right hand took its toll.

Love the Chieftans, saw them at a Celtic festival years ago. I also like Enya, Clannad and Loreena McKennit.

I also enjoy Irish music, especially folk. It does seem to have its own aura and story about it, but then I think that is true of most cultural music.
