What kind of monster serves as a tool for vengeance?

I watch this show Teen Wolf and there's this creature that serves a master as a tool for vengeance. They call it a Kanima. Now I'm just wondering are their any creatures in mythology similar to the Kanima?

The nearest creature of vengence i can think of is the erinyes of greek mythology. Dont think they had a master instructing them, but you could pray to them to take revenge especially if to do with killing a parent , they seemed keen to get involved with that, and send the wrong do-er mad.
